Fundraising Concert for Spires

“We are the London Consort of Winds, a woodwind and brass chamber ensemble who perform all kinds of music, from early music, through classical and light music, to works by contemporary composers.

On Saturday 13 July, we will hold a fundraising concert for Spires at St Leonard's Church in Streatham. We have decided to support Spires because of the fantastic work they do in not only providing a welcoming environment and essential services to homeless and vulnerable people, but also addressing the underlying causes of homelessness and helping people find secure accommodation. Several of our members are from South London, so it's lovely for us to be supporting a local charity too.

The concert starts at 6pm and tickets cost £10 concessions. There will also be a retiring collection in aid of Spires.”

Spires CEO’S Walk to help end homelessness

For the second year in a row, I will be participating in The London Night Marathon Walk on Friday 22nd March. As the Chief Executive of Spires, I have witnessed first-hand the incredible impact our dedicated teams have made in transforming lives.

Emma and Steve's Fundraiser for Spires

We are long term supporters of Spires and felt that walking at night with others was an inspiring way to show our appreciation for all the work you do. We will be walking an overnight marathon (26.2 miles) through London alongside representatives of homeless charities from across the city.

Friends Walking for Spires

A group of friends and I are participating in the upcoming London Walk. This event is not only an opportunity for us to raise crucial funds but also a chance to raise awareness about the challenges faced by those in our community who are experiencing homelessness. I am a resident of Streatham and as a trustee of The Spires Centre and I have had the opportunity to see firsthand the great work the team is doing to help the homeless.

Olivia's fundraiser for Spires

Please help me raise money for a great cause - on Friday 22nd March, homelessness charities in London will again be coming together to walk across London to raise awareness and money for our work in helping those experiencing homelessness in 2024. I will be walking for Spires.

Katherine & Marcella are walking out for Spires

On the evening of 22nd March, Katherine Blackler and Marcella Caricasole will be taking to the streets of London to walk a half-marathon as part of The London Walk. This walk brings various charities working in homelessness in the city together to walk as one. Every step powering the journey towards brighter tomorrows.. We’ll be raising funds in aid of Spires.

Hugh's fundraiser for Spires

The reason I’m supporting Spires is around 30 years ago I used the centre when I was going through a hard time in my life drinking too much. I was lucky enough to be approached by a member of staff from Spires Dan Shackell who worked there at the time and said Spires could help me. Nearly 30 years have passed and I’m still sober and will be eternally grateful to the Spires Centre for the support they showed me.
