About Our Service

Our support workers help those who are homeless into securing appropriate accommodation before ensuring they have the tools to maintain their accommodation whilst we’ll address the root causes of their homelessness. We’ll also work to reduce the risk of eviction for those who are housed but at risk of homelessness.

Our support workers typically first meet people during our weekday breakfast service. Warm food & drinks are provided, while food parcels, toiletries and clothing are also often available. We no longer offer showering facilities for our clients.

We connect clients to access a wide range of services including housing advice, mental health support, benefits advice & substance misuse services.

In most cases immediate assessment and support actions will take place. Every individual’s support journey is different, but each client will always work with a dedicated key worker to identify individual’s housing requirements and underlying support needs before agreeing on a plan of support. We make sure clients know their rights and receive the support to which they are entitled, simultaneously building their confidence & independence allowing them to reach a level of stability and safety in their lives.

Throughout any clients journey, Spires remains a consistent safety net!

We welcome individuals of different ages, nationalities, religions & sexual orientation for whom we will offer our advice and support. They access a range of internal and external support services in a welcoming and inclusive environment where they can feel safe. *
